Frontend Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Frontend Engineer for a leading technology organization in the Raleigh, NC area. The Frontend Engineer will focus on building responsive, scalable user interfaces using React and TypeScript, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web applications. This role is hybrid onsite in Raleigh, NC (3 days/week). Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Frontend Engineer include:

· Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern styling approaches

· Build reusable components and manage application state across complex user flows

· Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and ensure secure data handling

· Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

· Optimize frontend performance and scalability through code reviews and refactoring

· Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences

· Ensure accessibility and internationalization standards are met across the application

Requirements for the Frontend Engineer include:

· 3+ years of experience in frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks

· 2+ years of experience with React and React Hooks

· 2+ years of experience with TypeScript and ES6+ features

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

· Strong understanding of responsive design principles, CSS, and modern styling libraries

· Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing authentication flows

· Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress

· Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
