Piper Companies is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Sales, to support a leading cybersecurity company specialized in radio frequency (RF) cyber-based counter-drone technology. The Vice President of Commercial Sales will lead commercial sales for Counter-UAS solutions in the U.S., building and managing a high-performing team, driving strategic growth across public safety and critical infrastructure markets, and securing key partnerships and deals.

 

Responsibilities of the Vice President of Commercial Sales include:

 

  • Lead and grow the U.S. commercial sales team, reporting directly to the General Manager.
  • Hire, coach, and empower a high-performing sales force to exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies focused on public safety, transportation, utilities, and critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Drive sales of counter-drone (C-UAS) solutions, from initial engagement to deal closure.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across customers, integrators, and strategic partners.

 

Qualifications for the Vice President of Commercial Sales include:  

 

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience with a strong track record of consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals in tech-driven industries.
  • Proven success in B2B and B2G sales, consistently managing quotas of $50M+ over multiple years.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow new business from early-stage deals into large-scale revenue streams, showing a strong “hunter” mindset.
  • Experienced in building and leading high-performing sales teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Successful history of selling hardware/software solutions into sectors like public safety, transportation, utilities, and critical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and government procurement processes, with bonus experience in government contracting.

 

Compensation for the Vice President of Commercial Sales include:

 

  • Salary: $230,000 - $250,000 
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
