Upstream Scientist

Piper Companies is looking for an Upstream Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company located in Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities of the Upstream Scientist include:

· Operate and troubleshoot upstream bioreactor systems (3L and AMBR250) for mammalian cell culture

· Monitor process performance and apply MVDA tools to identify trends and drive improvements

· Support scale-up and technology transfer of upstream processes to commercial manufacturing

· Conduct experimental studies for process characterization and optimization

Qualifications for the Upstream Scientist include:

· 3–7 years of experience in upstream process development or technology transfer in biologics manufacturing within a cGMP environment

· Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operations (3L, AMBR250, or similar)

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field

Compensation for Upstream Scientist includes:

· Rate Range: $85,000–$120,000+
