Piper Companies is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer for a hybrid contract position with a leading provider of healthcare education and workforce development solutions located in Morrisville, NC. The Frontend Software Engineer focuses on building and optimizing user-facing features using React and TypeScript, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, scalable web applications.
Responsibilities of the Frontend Software Engineer:
- Develop responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Build reusable components and integrate with backend REST APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Refine user stories and contribute to backlog management and feature development.
- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and security using best practices.
Qualifications of the Frontend Software Engineer:
- 3+ years of frontend development experience with modern JavaScript.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, CSS, and modern styling techniques.
- Experience with RESTful API integration and application state management.
- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or similar.
Compensation for the Frontend Software Engineer:
- Salary: $100,000-$110,000/year
