Senior Director, Cybersecurity

Piper Companies is seeking a strategic, experienced Senior Director, Cybersecurity to oversee the operational, governance, and executive communication functions of a global cybersecurity organization. This role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives at the intersection of cybersecurity strategy, business operations, and executive alignment. This is a hybrid role (preference or 2 days onsite in Conshohocken, PA or DFW, TX).

Responsibilities

• The Senior Director will act as a trusted advisor to cybersecurity leadership, driving governance processes, developing executive and Board reporting, managing cybersecurity metrics and KPIs, and coordinating a global network of cybersecurity champions across the enterprise.
• Lead cross-functional cybersecurity operations and governance initiatives across multiple regions and business units.
• Develop and manage executive and Board reporting, transforming complex technical information into clear, business-ready insights.
• Define and maintain cybersecurity metrics and KPIs that measure risk posture and program maturity.
• Oversee a cybersecurity champions network to strengthen awareness and accountability globally.
• Partner with senior leadership to align cybersecurity priorities with organizational goals and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity strategy, operations, or governance, including leadership roles in enterprise healthcare or pharmaceutical environments.
• Proven experience in global organizations, ideally managing regulatory and compliance considerations across regions.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management principles.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to influence the executive and Board level.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, business, or related field (advanced degree or CISSP/CISM/CISA preferred).

Compensation:

• Annual Salary: $225,000 - $250,000 base salary + bonus and equity
