Piper Companies is seeking an accomplished IS&T Contract Negotiations Manager with deep expertise in client-side contract negotiations to support a large healthcare organization full-time in the Columbia, MD area. In this role, you will drive cost-saving initiatives, optimize procurement strategies, and secure favorable contract terms while mitigating risk. The ideal candidate brings strategic vision, financial insight, and exceptional negotiation skills to deliver measurable business impact.


Responsibilities of the IS&T Contract Negotiations Manager Include:

  • Lead client-side contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and secure optimal terms.
  • Analyze vendor proposals, contracts, and pricing models to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies tailored to client needs and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and clients to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and evaluate contract performance, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for renegotiation or improvement.
  • Provide insights and training to internal teams on negotiation best practices and cost-saving strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry benchmarks, and legal developments impacting contract negotiations.


Qualifications of the IS&T Contract Negotiations Manager Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in contract/vendor negotiations or cost management, with a focus on client-side operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and negotiation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings and favorable contract terms.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in IT-heavy environments or Healthcare IT (preferred)


Compensation of the IS&T Contract Negotiations Manager Includes:

  • Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, based on experience and certifications
  • Full Comprehensive Benefits: CIGNA Medical, Dental, Vision; 401k through ADP
