Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Solutions Manager to support a growing health insurance organization in the Greater Baltimore area. This is a full-time hybrid role that will lead digital transformation by delivering innovative platforms aligned with business goals. You’ll oversee engineering and QA teams, drive cross-platform delivery, manage technical debt, and foster scalable, future-ready solutions.
Responsibilities of the Technical Solutions Manager Include:
- Lead development and implementation of digital platforms using microservices, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and DevOps principles.
- Guide scrum teams to deliver high-quality, architecturally sound solutions while promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to architectural and design standards across projects, minimizing risk and technical debt.
- Oversee design reviews, code quality standards, and technical decision-making across the stack.
- Build, mentor, and retain a diverse, high-performing team of engineers and QA professionals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and platforms, incorporating emerging technologies.
- Partner with product managers and IT teams to align technology with business goals.
- Implement strategies to prevent and eliminate technical debt across platforms.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot new tools, leveraging AI, machine learning, and cloud solutions.
Qualifications of the Technical Solutions Manager Include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years leading complex technology initiatives in digital transformation and platform development.
- 2+ years in people management within high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in engineering excellence, agile delivery, and scrum management.
- Expertise in SDLC, microservices architecture, cloud solutions, AI/ML, and DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Lean methodologies and Continuous Deployment practices.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences.
- Leadership abilities focused on innovation and talent development.
Compensation of the Technical Solutions Manager Includes:
- Salary Range: $125,000 – $160,000 annually, based on experience and certifications
- 20% annual bonus eligibility
- Hybrid (EST) work schedule
