Documentation Automation Specialist

Piper Companies is seeking a Documentation Automation Specialist for a 3-month contract to help consolidate and organize technical documentation across multiple product lines into a unified, AI-powered knowledge base. This is a 100% REMOTE role (must be based in the US).

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-driven documentation workflows to consolidate and update technical content across multiple business units.
• Use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to analyze, enhance, and unify existing documentation.
• Automate content discovery, validation, and publishing through integrations with Confluence and GitHub.
• Review AI-generated content for accuracy, clarity, and business relevance.
• Create templates, prompts, and repeatable processes to maintain documentation consistency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Technology to execute deliverables and report on progress.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with AI tools and prompting (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and experience designing or orchestrating automation workflows.
• Ability to read and work with API documentation; experience integrating tools or processes via APIs.
• Strong writing, editing, and information architecture skills for evaluating and organizing technical content.
• Experience with Confluence, GitHub, or similar content management platforms.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $50-$60 per hour (depending on experience)
