Piper Companies is looking for an IT Contract Negotiations Manager to join a healthcare company located in Columbia, Maryland.


Responsibilities of the IT Contract Negotiations Manager include:

  • Lead client-side contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and secure optimal terms.
  • Analyze vendor proposals, contracts, and pricing models to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies tailored to client needs and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and clients to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and evaluate contract performance, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for renegotiation or improvement.
  • Provide insights and training to internal teams on negotiation best practices and cost-saving strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry benchmarks, and legal developments impacting contract negotiations.

Qualifications for the IT Contract Negotiations Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in contract/vendor negotiations or cost management, focused on client-side operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and negotiation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings and favorable contract terms.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred: Experience in IT-heavy environments or Healthcare IT.

Compensation for IT Contract Negotiations Manager includes:

  • Rate Range: $120,000–$130,000+, depending on experience
  • Comprehensive Benefit Package: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law
