Piper Companies is seeking a VP, Commercial Sales to support a company focused on aerospace security systems located in McLean, VA. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a growing security organization focused on cutting-edge aerospace security.
Responsibilities for the VP, Commercial Sales include:
- Lead the U.S. commercial sales team, set strategy, and drive revenue growth in public safety and critical infrastructure markets.
- Develop and execute sales campaigns, go-to-market plans, and partnerships to expand market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, integrators, and channel partners to close strategic deals.
- Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting while ensuring accurate communication with leadership.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, collaborating with engineering, product, and marketing teams.
Qualifications for the VP, Commercial Sales include:
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience with a strong record of meeting quotas and closing large deals in tech-driven markets.
- Proven success in B2B and B2G sales, managing quotas of $50M+ annually and growing business from $1–3M to $40M+.
- Experience selling hardware/software solutions into public safety, airports, ports, utilities, or critical infrastructure, with knowledge of procurement and government contracting.
- Strong customer relationships, excellent leadership and communication skills, and ability to work with senior executives and partners.
- High energy, collaborative style, ability to travel up to 60% within the U.S.
Compensation for the VP, Commercial Sales includes:
- Salary Range: $215,000 - $240,000 + Bonus + Commission + Equity
