Associate Engineer (Drug Product Development)

Piper Companies is seeking an Associate Engineer – Drug Product Development to support a leading cell therapy organization in Branchburg, NJ. This role is fully lab-based and focuses on drug product development activities including harvest, formulation, preservation, and post-harvest analytics.

Responsibilities of the Associate Engineer – Drug Product Development:

• Perform harvest, cell washing, formulation, and preservation steps

• Support post-harvest analytics and assay readiness

• Maintain aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture workflows

• Document work accurately in compliance with lab standards

• Collaborate with Process Development and Analytical Development teams

Qualifications of the Associate Engineer – Drug Product Development:

• BS in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related field

• 1–2 years of relevant industry lab experience

• Hands-on cell culture and aseptic technique required

• Understanding of basic cellular analytics (viability, cell state, etc.)

Compensation for the Associate Engineer – Drug Product Development:

• Pay Rate: $35–38/hr.
