Network Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to support operations onsite in Columbia, Maryland. This role will design, implement, and support enterprise network and unified communications solutions while providing advanced technical expertise and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across the organization. 

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include: 

• Plan, design, and implement enterprise network and unified communications solutions to support business needs. 
• Collaborate with project teams to refine requirements and deliver networking/UC solutions on time. 
• Provide tier-3 technical support for network and UC issues, ensuring high-quality customer service. 
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for proposed and implemented solutions. 

Qualifications for the Network Engineer include: 

• 5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale LAN/WAN environments. 
• Advanced knowledge of routing (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), VPNs, Cisco hardware, and network analysis tools (Wireshark). 
• Skilled in Cisco Sourcefire, Palo Alto NGFW, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, and Meraki wireless. 
• Experience with SolarWinds, F5 LTM, TCP/IP protocols, and creating network architecture diagrams. 
• Strong communication, vendor management, adaptability, and ability to work off-hours as needed. 

Compensation for the Network Engineer include: 

•  Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 based on years of experience 
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, PTO (Paid Time Off), Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
