Sr. Business Project Manager

Piper Companies is hiring a Sr. Business Project Manager for a financial company located in Morrisville, NC. The Sr. Business Project Manager will lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives that impact multiple business units, including Legal, Finance, Operations, and Technology. The Sr. Business Project Manager will need to sit on site 3 days per week in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Business Project Manager:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects spanning multiple business lines.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to define project objectives, requirements, and success metrics.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring alignment across departments.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, resolve conflicts, and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Drive process improvements and standardization across business units.

Requirements for the Sr. Business Project Manager:

• 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of business operations, compliance, and financial processes.
• Proven experience working with Legal, Finance, and other corporate functions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior leadership.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• PMP or similar certification strongly preferred.

Compensation for the Sr. Business Project Manager:

• $120,000 - $140,000 base salary + bonus + LTI
