Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase)

Piper Companies is hiring a Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase) for a Mid-Size CRO (Clinical Research Organization) headquartered in Australia. The Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase) will need to have experience engaging with pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors with a focus on early phase and Australian business. The Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase) will need to sit in Pacific time zone.

Responsibilities for the Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase):

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors for early-phase clinical trials.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at sponsor organizations, including those based in Australia.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, budgets, and presentations tailored to client needs.
• Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and report on business development activities.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting early-phase trials.

Requirements for the Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase):

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development or sales within the CRO or life sciences industry.
• Knowledge of early-phase clinical trial processes and sponsor engagement strategies.
• Experience working with Australian sponsors or CROs strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Compensation for the Business Development Rep (Australian CRO- Early Phase):

• $180,000 - $200,000
