VP - Global Supply Chain

Piper Companies is seeking a VP of Global Supply Chain to join a growing leader in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space for a remote permanent position based out of EST. The VP of Global Supply Chain will lead and oversee global end-to-end clinical and commercial supply chain operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and uninterrupted supply of products through strategic planning, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities of the VP of Global Supply Chain include:

• Lead and manage a global team overseeing end-to-end clinical and commercial supply chain operations.
• Develop and execute global supply chain strategies, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
• Oversee supplier relationships and performance, including CMOs, CPOs, and 3PLs, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
• Manage packaging, labeling, serialization, and distribution activities for clinical and commercial products across international markets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Regulatory teams to ensure uninterrupted product supply and compliance with GxP standards.

Qualifications for the VP of Global Supply Chain include:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management or manufacturing within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline; APICS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proven expertise in demand planning, inventory management, packaging, labeling, and global distribution, including cold chain and import/export logistics.
• Strong leadership experience managing global teams and vendor relationships; proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and QMS platforms (e.g., Veeva).
• In-depth knowledge of GMP/GCP/GDP regulations, drug development lifecycle (Phase I-IV), and familiarity with serialization standards and clinical blinding practices.

 Compensation for the VP of Global Supply Chain:

• Salary Range: $275,000-$315,000/year (USD)
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
