Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer (Front-End) This is a Contract-to-Hire position and is a REMOTE role. The role focuses on front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks and offers the opportunity to work on impactful healthcare technology projects.

Responsibilities of Software Engineer (Front-End):

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Build responsive web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop and maintain applications using React and/or Angular frameworks.
• Integrate web APIs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Analysts, and other engineers in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and implement coding standards and best practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues using appropriate tools.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new tools for implementation.

Qualifications for Software Engineer (Front-End):

• 2+ years of JavaScript front-end development experience.
• 1+ years of experience with React and/or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with multiple web APIs and web development libraries.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Preferred: Experience with Azure cloud services and mentoring junior developers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for Software Engineer (Front-End):

• Salary Range: $85,000 – $98,000/year
• Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
• REMOTE
