Piper Health & Sciences is looking to identify a Project Manager/Senior with expected travel between Rockville, Frederick, and Gaithersburg, MD. This role manages project delivery and portfolio planning for cGMP facilities within biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager/Senior include:

• Lead cross-functional teams in planning, developing, and implementing projects, programs, and strategic initiatives.
• Assemble and guide project teams, ensuring effectiveness through clear communication and strong time management practices.
• Ensure project deliverables meet deadlines, budgets, and client quality and safety standards.
• Apply project management tools (e.g., Critical Path Method, Monte Carlo analysis) to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain consistent communication with sponsors, senior leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee administrative and financial closure of site/capital projects, including asset commissioning and depreciation management.
• Prepare and manage procurement documentation, such as Statements of Work (SOW), Project Orders, Letters of Intent, NDAs, and CDAs.
• Develop and present materials for Site Project Portfolio Reviews and Capital Review Committees as required.
• Drive project and program maturity through Lean principles, lessons learned, and root cause analysis.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding of outsourced service providers, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications for the Project Manager/Senior include:

• 5+ years of project and/or program management experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is required.
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related degree is required, a Master of Science is preferred.
• Experience with capital funding is required, and familiarity with equipment start-up and CQV is strongly preferred.
