Quality Assurance Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Lynwood, California. In this job you would serve as QA Team Lead, technician, and inspector, and prepare statistical process control data. As well as ensure all products and materials shipped or transferred are accurately identified and accounted for.

Responsibilities of the QA Tech include:

• Perform QA checks/documentation review on lines.
• Verify sanitation, line changeovers, lot numbers, and labels.
• Provide second layer of compliance verification.
• Stop/review errors before product release.
• Forklift operation (training offered).
• Support investigations, deviations, NCMR, retains, and trend reporting.

Qualifications for the QA Tech include:

• High School graduate or GED required
• Good Math skills
•  Detail oriented
• Knowledge of GMP is preferred
• Experience in working with SOP's is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Word and database software preferred
• Some experience in manufacturing environment
• Able to speak, read and write English
• Training available for those who meet the minimum requirements
• Basic statistical skills (mean, mode, medium, standard deviations calculation)

Compensation for the QA Tech includes:

• Pay: $21.50/hr. base +$0.50 (2nd) +$1.00 (3rd)
• Shifts:
• 1st: 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. (training on 1st, ~7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.)
• 2nd: 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
• 3rd: 9:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.
