Solutions Architect - Digital Transformation & API Strategy

Piper Companies is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of digital platforms, leveraging Microsoft Azure, Databricks, React and Node.js for a client in the financial sector. This is a hybrid role, and requires at least 8 days/month on site in office in Wayne, PA.

Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:

•  Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging Azure services, microservices, and modern web technologies.
• Lead the design of complex solutions involving APIs and large-scale data environments across hybrid cloud platforms.
• Define and document solution architecture and maintain the architecture repository, while aligning solutions with enterprise architecture standards and reference models.
• Serve as API thought leader and application architecture, staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications of the Solutions Architect:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture and solution design.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture, including hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of API-first design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and SOA.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Delta Lake, Synapse Analytics, and big data tools, and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in React, Node.js, Python, Scala, SQL, or other cloud-native development.
• TOGAF® and ArchiMate® certifications Azure Solutions Architect certification (AZ-305 or equivalent).
• Experience in financial services, especially commercial lending or leasing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation for the Solutions Architect:

• $150,000/year + annual bonus
