Metrology Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Metrology Technician to support calibration and maintenance activities for critical instruments within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The Metrology Technician role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in pharma metrology and calibrations.

Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician:

• Perform calibration and maintenance on instruments including temperature, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure devices.

• Accurately and legibly record all activities in appropriate documentation systems.

• Write work orders and ensure compliance with established procedures and regulatory standards.

• Support work surges and lulls with flexibility; standard schedule is 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, but some weeks may require up to 50 hours.

• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues promptly.

Qualifications of the Metrology Technician:

• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical metrology/calibration experience.

• Strong knowledge of calibration techniques for temperature, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure instruments.

• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow GMP guidelines.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Compensation for the Metrology Technician includes:

• Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000 depending on experience

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO

• On-site role in Clayton, NC
