Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to support the execution and management of clinical operations activities across multiple phases of drug development with a small start up located in Durham, NC. The Clinical Trial Manager will be coordinating site start up activities and the flow of patients. The Clinical Trial Manager role is a 12 month contract with potential to extend and can work remote within the United States, but East Coast is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Trial Manager:
- Manage assigned clinical operations activities for designated studies, including but not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing, and QC of protocols, study plans, and study manuals
- Site feasibility, identification, start-up, and close-out
- Site management and patient recruitment/retention strategies
- External vendor selection and management (e.g., central labs, imaging)
- eTMF oversight and management
- Inspection readiness and investigational product management
- Create, update, and maintain study trackers
- Participate in cross-functional clinical study team meetings
- Communicate updates, risks, and issues to study management
- Support vendor setup, manage contracts, and review change orders
- Review and approve vendor invoices
Requirements of the Clinical Trial Manager:
- 5 years experience in clinical trials within biotech or pharmaceutical companies
- Rare disease and/or ophthalmology experience preferred
- CRO/vendor management expertise
- Ability to travel (<10%)
Compensation for the Clinical Trial Manager:
- $70.00-$90.00 per hour
