Part-Time Machinist

Piper Companies is seeking a Part-Time Machinist to join a global leader in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry for an onsite contract position (20 hours/week) located in Clayton, NC. The Part-Time Machinist will support manufacturing operations by operating and maintaining precision machinery to ensure production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Machinist include:

• Operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality components.
• Perform routine inspections and measurements to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize machine performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and GMP standards within a regulated environment.

Qualifications for the Part-Time Machinist include:

• Previous experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with GMP and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.

Compensation for the Part-Time Machinist:

• Salary Range: $62,000-$82,000/year (dependent upon experience)
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical (Cigna), Dental (Guardian), Vision (VSP), sick leave if required by law, and 401K (Voya through ADP)
