We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Metrology Technician to execute calibration and maintenance activities at a new greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Clayton, NC. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring an audit-ready metrology program supporting clinical and commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician:
- Calibrate and repair instruments measuring temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass, and frequency
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation per SOPs
- Ensure strict compliance with cGMPs, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements
- Accurately record all activities and maintain calibration documentation
- Support process owners with calibration specifications and investigations
- Utilize SAP for work orders and calibration management
- Participate in metrology-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications of the Metrology Technician:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical metrology/calibration experience (5+ years preferred)
- Hands-on experience calibrating temperature, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure instruments
- Familiarity with SAP or other electronic calibration management systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Preferred experience: Prior military experience in maintenance/calibraton, or greenfield site experience
Compensation & Benefits:
- $36–$44/hour
- 12-month contract with potential for full-time hire
- Standard schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility required; occasional 50-hour weeks)
- Comprehensive training: 1 week onboarding + 4 weeks metrology/SAP training
