Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives within an operations-focused environment. The Business Analyst role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong analytical skills, requirements gathering expertise, and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce. The Business Analyst role is a long term contract opportunity and required you to live in North Carolina.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

• Gather and document business requirements, process maps, and user stories.
• Translate business needs into actionable solutions for technology and operations teams.
• Support intake, prioritization, and governance frameworks for strategic projects.
• Prepare meeting artifacts, track action items, and synthesize discussions.
• Assist with KPI analysis, reporting, and success measures.

Requirements of the Business Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Salesforce.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence; Agile knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum are a plus.

Compensation for the Business Analyst:

• $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
