Azure Cloud Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a healthcare/pharma organization in a permanent, HYBRID role based in Conshohocken, PA.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple teams.

• Implement applications using Azure services like App Gateway, APIM, Container Apps, Azure SQL, and Redis.

• Configure networks and security using VNETs, NSGs, Private Endpoints, and ExpressRoute.

• Automate deployments and resource provisioning using Terraform and other IaC tools.

• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and ensure cloud solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Monitor applications and infrastructure, set performance metrics, and troubleshoot production issues.

• Mentor team members and help standardize DevOps practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Azure cloud engineering or DevOps, ideally with hands-on leadership experience.

• Strong experience with Azure services, IaC (Terraform), and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Solid networking understanding and cloud security best practices.

• Experience managing production systems with monitoring, incident response, and reliability metrics.

• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.

• Azure certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Architect, or similar) preferred.

Compensation

• Base salary: up to $130,000 depending on experience

• Bonus: 8% annually
