Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Program Manager to join a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for a 12-month contract position based out of Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, or Raleigh, NC on a hybrid schedule (2 days on-site). The Senior Project Manager/Program Manager will lead strategic supply chain initiatives as part of a transformative program focused on building a future-ready U.S. distribution network.
Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager/Program Manager include:
- Manage complex workstreams within a large-scale supply chain transformation initiative, including network design and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment on logistics, technology, and governance objectives.
- Oversee sourcing and onboarding of strategic 3PL partners to optimize distribution capabilities.
- Develop and maintain robust business continuity plans and overflow solutions to mitigate risk.
- Utilize data-driven insights to monitor performance and drive operational excellence across the distribution network.
Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager/Program Manager include:
- 7–10 years of experience in supply chain management strategy development and execution.
- Proven track record managing major supply chain implementation projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Hands-on mindset with logistics and distribution expertise; experience in 3PL sourcing is highly desirable.
- PMP certification preferred; Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field required.
Compensation for the Senior Project Manager/Program Manager:
Salary: $175,000-$195,000/year (USD)
