Data Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst to join a leading organization in the technology and data analytics industry for a fully remote contract position. The Data Analyst will work with large-scale data sets, leveraging advanced SQL skills and cloud-based platforms to deliver actionable insights and support business decision-making.

Responsibilities of the Data Analyst include:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Manage and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics outputs.

Qualifications for the Data Analyst include:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and large-scale data sets.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for reporting and insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Compensation for the Data Analyst:

Salary Range: $135,000-$155,000/year (USD)

Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
