BI Developer

Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our team in Wayne, PA. This role requires four days onsite per week. The BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain advanced BI solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights, leveraging Tableau, SQL, and ETL/ELT tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and SSRS reports that deliver clear, actionable insights
• Write and fine-tune advanced SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures to ensure data accuracy and performance
• Utilize ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Talend, Matillion, or similar) to prepare and transform data for reporting
• Collaborate with data engineering, analysts, and business stakeholders to support scalable data pipelines and meet business requirements
• Monitor and improve dashboard and query performance while ensuring data integrity across BI solutions
• Serve as a BI subject matter expert, promoting best practices in data visualization and data-driven decision-making

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years in BI development, analytics, or related roles
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Server
• Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, and functions
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Talend, Matillion, or similar)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off
• Work Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite in Wayne, PA
