Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for a major enterprise technology modernization effort in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH. The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will contribute to service development, UI enhancements, and cloud‑ready application design using Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and modern DevOps tooling. This is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days onsite per week in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include:

· Develop backend microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs

· Build and enhance web interfaces using Angular and/or React

· Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub

· Support containerization using Docker and deployments in Kubernetes environments

· Write and optimize SQL queries for PostgreSQL databases

· Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

· Collaborate in Agile team ceremonies and cross‑functional planning sessions

· Contribute to system performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include:

· 6–10 years of full‑stack engineering experience

· Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL

· Experience with Angular and/or React

· Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform

· Familiarity with AWS cloud services

· Strong communication and collaboration skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer:

· Compensation based on experience
