Sr. Full Stack Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support a large‑scale technology modernization initiative based in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH. In this role, you will help build backend services, enhance user interfaces, and design cloud‑ready applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and modern DevOps tools. This hybrid position requires the candidate to be onsite 2–3 days per week at either location of Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH.

Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include:

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack solutions, including Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, Angular/React web interfaces, PostgreSQL queries, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
• Ensure scalable, containerized deployments by supporting Docker, Kubernetes, performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting across distributed systems.
• Contribute to strong engineering practices through code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and cross‑functional collaboration to uphold quality and best practices.

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include:

• 6–10 years of full‑stack engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSQL, and front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer:

· Compensation based on experience
