Remote Pharmacist

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Pharmacist to join an well-known healthcare organization. The Pharmacist will be joining a collaborative and supportive team in order to provide care to meet the member's needs. This role will be fully remote and will require that this person be local to North Carolina.

Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:

• Review prior authorization requests and determine appropriate medications based on a member's benefits and coverage criteria
• Review utilization statistics and report to compliance committees as needed, as well as tracking compliance cases
• Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other members of the healthcare team
• Knowledge on drug information and disease understanding to best complete prior authorization reviews

Qualifications for the Pharmacist:

• Licensed Pharmacist in NC
• Managed Care experience
• Knowledge of drug coding and NCPDP claims adjudication systems

Compensation for the Pharmacist:

• Hourly Rate: $43-$45/hr, based on previous experience
• Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K
