Clinical Pharmacist

Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading organization in the healthcare insurance industry for a fully remote contract position. The Clinical Pharmacist will support Medicare Case Management operations and perform comprehensive clinical reviews for a major healthcare payer.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Pharmacist include:

· Conduct comprehensive case reviews, including evaluation of member medications and prior authorization requests

· Make determinations for drug products based on benefits, clinical criteria, and regulatory guidelines

· Track and report utilization review statistics, compliance metrics, and daily review numbers

· Provide clinical support and guidance to pharmacy technicians

· Research drug information and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of drug coding and NCPDP claims adjudication systems

Qualifications for the Clinical Pharmacist include:

· Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree

· At least 3 years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience

· Current and active pharmacy license in an approved state

· Previous remote/work‑from‑home experience

· Knowledge of NDC, GCN, GPI, USC, and prior authorization guidelines

Compensation for the Clinical Pharmacist:

· Salary Range: $114,000-$124,000/year (USD)

· Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
