AI Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an AI Engineer to support a leading organization within the technology industry in developing and enhancing AI‑driven applications. The AI Engineer role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in React, Node.js, and modern AI/ML tooling.

Responsibilities of the AI Engineer:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled features and applications using React and Node.js.

• Integrate machine learning models and APIs into new and existing systems.

• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to define scalable AI architectures.

• Optimize application and model performance across the platform.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Maintain best practices for version control, testing, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications of the AI Engineer:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong hands-on expertise with React and Node.js.

• Experience integrating AI/ML models (OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, etc.).

• Familiarity with RESTful API development and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, or LLM application architectures preferred.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Compensation for the AI Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 - $170,000
