Piper Companies is hiring an Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising) for an Advertising Agency based in Durham, NC. The Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising) will be supporting a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer on advertising for a product for Opioid Use Disorder treatment. The Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising) is a contract opportunity and is expected to last 3 months with extension onto another advertising project.
Responsibilities for the Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising):
- Lead the conceptual development and execution of creative campaigns across print, digital, and video platforms.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, and account teams to ensure brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Translate complex scientific and medical information into visually engaging and accessible content.
- Present creative concepts to internal stakeholders and clients with clarity and confidence.
- Oversee design production, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Stay current on industry trends, design innovations, and pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., FDA, MLR).
Requirements for the Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising):
- 3+ years of experience in advertising or design, with at least 2 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, brand development, and multichannel campaign work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma or Sketch is a plus.
- Deep understanding of FDA regulations, ISI placement, and medical/legal review processes.
Compensation for the Art Designer (Pharmaceutical Advertising):
- $50.00-$60.00 per hour
