Devops Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a growing technology organization within the enterprise services industry. The DevOps Engineer will focus on automation, cloud infrastructure, and IaC best practices across Azure, AWS, and Terraform in a hybrid environment based in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

• Design, build, and manage automated deployment pipelines across Azure and AWS

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to provision and maintain cloud environments

• Implement automation for configuration management, monitoring, and operational processes

• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to optimize reliability, scalability, and performance

• Troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure issues across hybrid systems

• Support CI/CD best practices and contribute to ongoing platform modernization initiatives

Qualifications of the DevOps Engineer:

• 5+ years of DevOps, cloud engineering, or automation engineering experience

• Hands-on expertise with Azure and AWS cloud services

• Strong proficiency with Terraform for IaC development and deployment

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

• Solid understanding of containers, orchestration, and automation frameworks

• Background in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools

Compensation for the DevOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
