Piper Companies is seeking a QC Specialist, Analytical with Micro experience to join a leading biotechnology company developing next-generation allogeneic cell therapies for oncology.
This is an onsite position in Branchburg, NJ and a long term contract assignment with potential for conversion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Analytical
- Flow Cytometry (Enumeration/Viability) – cell counting experience; Vi-Cell Blue instrumentation
- PCR experience – Quant Studio 6/7 instrumentation
- RNA based methods for Mycoplasma & Sterility testing, such as MycoSeq and SteriSeq
- Experience with processing mammalian cell culture
- BSC Level 2 experience
Microbiology
- Experience with rapid microbial methods that are PCR based (Quant-Studio instrumentation - SteriSeq, MycoSeq methods )
- Experience with rapid method that are CO2 respiration based or ATP bioluminescence, such BAC-T or Celsis methods
- Experience with traditional methods Sterility Testing USP <71> and Mycoplasma <62>
- Experience with endotoxin testing traditional (gel clot method) or Kinetic chromogenic method (Biotek/MCS plate readers), per USP <85>
- Growth promotion, microbial and bioburden testing (TAMC/TYMC) (plus but not required)
- Gowning experience in Grade A – D (ISO5-ISO9) cleanrooms
- BSL Level 2 experience (required) if they have experience with RABS or enclosures (plus but not required)
- Some EM experience, but not required
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or related discipline
- 4+ years of experience working in a development or cGMP laboratory setting
- Experience with cell-based, flow cytometry, and PCR assays
- Knowledge of cell culture and aseptic technique
- Experience working in support of cell therapy products is preferred
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $85,000-$95,000 on a W2 contract rate; depending on experience
