Data Migration Lead - S/4 HANA

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Migration Lead to support a manufacturing corporation based on the East Coast. The Data Migration Lead will drive the end‑to‑end migration into S/4HANA, overseeing data strategy, governance, quality, and cutover execution across multiple waves. The Data Migration Lead is a long term contract opportunity and allows you to work remote within EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Data Migration Lead:

• Own the overall S/4HANA data migration strategy, roadmap, plan, and data readiness checkpoints.
• Define data quality rules, validation controls, acceptance criteria, and governance alignment.
• Guide MDG enhancements and data domain stewardship across core master data areas.
• Lead Syniti ADM migration activities including mapping, transformation, cleansing, and load orchestration.
• Partner with functional teams to finalize target data models and cross‑module dependencies.
• Coordinate with integration, testing, security, and cutover teams for mock cycles and rehearsals.
• Manage full lifecycle migration activities.
• Drive issue triage, root‑cause identification, and fix‑forward vs. fix‑at‑source decision processes.
• Publish data migration KPIs, dashboards, and quality metrics across cycles.

Requirements of the Data Migration Lead:

• 7+ years leading SAP ERP data migrations, including 2+ full‑cycle S/4HANA programs.
• Hands‑on experience with S/4HANA data models, SAP MDG, and Syniti ADM/SKP (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of SAP master data objects and cross‑module dependencies.
• Expertise in ETL methodologies, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong leadership across global, matrixed teams and complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with multi‑wave cutovers and SAP Activate is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data issues for business stakeholders.

Compensation for the Data Migration Lead:

• $150,000 - $180,000
