IT Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join a healthcare organization for a 4-month contract assignment (with high potential to extend or convert). This is a HYBRID role, mostly REMOTE but will be required to be on-site in Hershey, PA once per month.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on business analysis in support of IT resilience and recovery initiatives, including coordinating and executing business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments
• Partner closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to gather requirements, validate impacts, and ensure analysis activities are completed accurately and on time
• Support program governance activities by preparing meeting materials, tracking decisions and action items, and following up with stakeholders
• Assist with maintaining and updating IT policies, procedures, and documentation to support regulatory, audit, and operational requirements
• Track milestones, deliverables, and key metrics across workstreams; provide regular status updates to program leadership
• Develop clear documentation, reports, and summaries that translate technical information into business-relevant insights

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise or cross-functional technology initiatives
• Experience working in healthcare or other regulated environments strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IT concepts (applications, infrastructure, data, security) and how technology supports business operations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on defined tasks while collaborating with senior team members on broader initiatives
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills, with comfort engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Exposure to governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, or business continuity efforts is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: up to $55/hr depending on experience
