Software Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Developer to support a technology‑focused organization within the managed services industry for a fully remote 6‑month contract. The Software Developer will contribute to building internal tools, forecasting capabilities, and operational visibility solutions alongside cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities of the Software Developer include:

· Develop Python- and SQL‑based applications supporting capacity modeling and internal analytics.

· Implement data-driven features that strengthen forecasting accuracy and infrastructure insights.

· Build and refine monitoring dashboards using Kibana to enhance system transparency.

· Collaborate with developers and analysts to streamline data workflows and performance processes.

· Assist in advancing automation initiatives tied to lifecycle planning and operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Software Developer include:

· Roughly 4 years of professional development experience.

· Strong, hands-on background with Python and SQL.

· Familiarity with Kibana for dashboards, logs, or operational views.

· Experience contributing to forecasting, capacity planning, or infrastructure-heavy projects.

· Ability to work within cross-functional technical teams in a fully remote environment.

Compensation for the Software Developer:

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000/year (USD)
