Systems Engineer

Piper Companies is currently looking for an Systems Engineer in the Columbia, MD area to work for an established healthcare provider to design, implement and maintain a hybrid on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer:

• Design and implement hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-prem and Azure environments
• Lead proof-of-concepts and requirements gathering for Azure cloud-readiness initiatives
• Deploy and manage Azure services including Azure Arc, Log Analytics, Key Vault, Azure Storage Accounts, and Azure AD Groups
• Maintain and support on-prem Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PKI/certificates, and enterprise networking

Qualifications for the Systems Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree or 8-10 years experience in the field preferred
• Strong on-prem experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PKI, and enterprise networking
• On-prem/hybrid experience required
• Azure experience with Azure Arc, Log Analytics, Key Vault, Azure AD Groups, and Storage Accounts
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V a plus

Compensation for the Systems Engineer:

• Salary Range: $125,000-135,000 (depending on experience)
• Hybrid work schedule; 3 days a week onsite
