Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst to support pharmacy benefit development, auditing, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness for a leading healthcare organization. In this role, the Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst will act as a key operational subject matter expert, helping ensure compliance, benefit accuracy, and effective collaboration with internal business partners. This is a remote contract position with a likely chance of extension or conversion.
Responsibilities of the Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst include:
- Partnering with internal teams to design, implement, and refine pharmacy benefit programs across individual and group lines of business.
- Leading and contributing to annual corporate initiatives focused on updating pharmacy benefit offerings.
- Auditing pharmacy benefit plans created by Pharmacy Coordinators to confirm accuracy and adherence to configuration standards.
- Serving as the operational point of contact for pharmacy‑related website updates, ensuring information is timely and accurate.
- Tracking regulatory and operational compliance matters and providing timely updates to leadership.
- Working closely with client engagement teams to support client retention, assist with new sales efforts, and help resolve benefit‑related issues.
- Maintaining comprehensive project plans, documentation, and routine progress reports to ensure deadlines and organizational expectations are met.
Qualifications for the Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations.
- Background in pharmacy benefits, PBM operations, health insurance, or similar fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit and validate benefit configurations with exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting commercial pharmacy plan compliance.
- Project management skills, including updating project plans and coordinating timelines.
Compensation for the Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst includes:
- Salary Range: $70,000 – $87,000
- Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and sick leave as required by law.
