Piper Companies is seeking a Biomanufacturing Associate to support a well-established biotechnology company out of the Durham, NC area. The Biomanufacturing Associate will be responsible for providing critical operational support to GMP manufacturing by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, managing inventory and ensuring a clean, compliant production environment.
Responsibilities of the Biomanufacturing Associate:
· Perform cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing suites, equipment, and controlled environments according to GMP procedures
· Execute autoclaving, solution prep, equipment prep, and component sterilization activities as required
· Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, buffers, reagents, and supplies; coordinate restocking and material movement
· Provide support to upstream, downstream and fill-finish production teams
· Assist with equipment setup, basic maintenance, and calibration support.
· Complete all GMP documentation, logbooks, and forms with accuracy and compliance
Qualifications of the Biomanufacturing Associate:
· 0-4+ years of hands on GMP experience (can be from internship)
· Knowledge of GMP, biotech, biopharma, or cleanroom environments is highly desirable
· Strong attention to detail skills
· Experience with autoclave, equipment prep, basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
· Experience working with media, buffer, reagents, sterilization, centrifugation
· Strong wet lab experience including PCR, DNA/RNA extractions, cell culture, chromatography, TFF, etc.
· Ability to lift/move materials and work on feet within cleanroom or production settings.
· Bachelor’s degree is highly desired
Compensation for the Biomanufacturing Associate:
· Salary: $47,000 - $62,000 annually, commensurate with experience (dependent on level & years of experience in GMP/manufacturing role)
