Piper Companies is seeking a Senior IT Data Analyst to support a major strategic technology program. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate business drivers into clear system and data requirements. The candidate is required to be based out of Merrimack, NH, Smithfield, RI, Jersey City, NJ, or Westlake, TX.
Responsibilities for the Senior IT Data Analyst:
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, confirming them through documentation such as BRDs, process flows, and data diagrams.
- Translate business needs into detailed end‑to‑end data and system requirements, including field‑level definitions and data rules.
- Partner with BI, Data Engineering, and ML teams to maintain source‑to‑target mappings, interface contracts, and data lineage.
- Manage user story creation, refinement, acceptance criteria, and sign‑off to ensure alignment with business goals.
Qualifications for the Senior IT Data Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
- 5 years of experience as an IT Data Analyst, including requirements gathering and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and collaboration tools, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with data lineage, data mapping, and coordination with technical engineering teams.
Compensation for the Senior IT Data Analyst:
- $85,000-$115,000
- Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and sick leave as required by law.
