Piper Companies is seeking Senior Database Developer to support a major data engineering and performance initiative within a large-scale technology organization. These role will focus on database development, data pipelines, validation, and performance enhancements. The candidate is required to be based out of Merrimack, NH, Smithfield, RI, Jersey City, NJ, or Westlake, TX.
Responsibilities for the Senior Database Developer:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, data models, and database APIs to support large-scale data workflows.
- Build and enhance batch processes including ETL workflows, Informatica pipelines, and Autosys job schedules.
- Support data acquisition, validation, performance calculations, and end‑to‑end distribution workflows across the program.
- Implement automated tests, performance tuning, and CI/CD–ready database components following ATDD principles.
Qualifications for the Senior Database Developer:
- Expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, API development, and performance tuning within large data environments.
- Experience with ETL/Informatica, Autosys scheduling, and cloud technologies such as Snowflake and AWS S3.
- Strong understanding of scalable data-application design, Agile delivery practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to translate requirements into robust database solutions and provide technical leadership or mentorship as needed.
