Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Medical Consultant to support a leading organization within the pharmaceutical research and drug‑development industry for a remote 12-month contract position based out of EST. The Senior Medical Consultant will guide medical direction, shape clinical study approaches across multiple phases, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support advancement of therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities of the Senior Medical Consultant include:
· Develop and refine medical strategies that support program goals across assigned therapeutic areas.
· Provide expert input on study framework, including endpoints, patient selection criteria, dosing plans, and safety oversight structure.
· Offer continuous medical evaluation during trial execution, interpreting emerging data to inform clinical decisions.
· Partner with regulatory, operations, biostatistics, and safety groups to ensure alignment across development activities.
· Engage externally with investigators, advisors, and clinical experts to support study planning and evidence generation.
Qualifications for the Senior Medical Consultant include:
· Medical degree (MD or DO) with training in internal medicine, neurology, or a related subspecialty.
· Industry experience contributing to clinical development programs and regulatory interactions.
· Ability to integrate clinical insights, statistical findings, and regulatory considerations to shape program direction.
· Strong communication skills supporting collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
· Experience interacting with external clinical experts and interpreting complex clinical datasets.
Compensation for the Senior Medical Consultant:
Salary Range: $325,000–$360,000/year
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
