DevSecOps Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a leading organization in the technology industry with the advancement of secure automation, IaC-based environments, and compliance-driven engineering initiatives. The DevSecOps Engineer will focus heavily on infrastructure as code, scripting, automation, and aligning systems with SOC 2 and NIST security frameworks.

Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer:

• Design, implement, and automate infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

• Implement security controls, guardrails, and monitoring aligned with SOC 2, NIST, and industry best practices.

• Develop secure CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows to support reliable, compliant deployments.

• Build automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational and compliance tasks.

• Collaborate with compliance, security, and engineering teams to ensure systems meet audit and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer:

• 5+ years of DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or automation engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SOC 2 and NIST compliance requirements.

• Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and security automation tools.

Compensation for the DevSecOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000 depending on experience
