Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager to support a leading organization within the life sciences manufacturing sector for an onsite long-term contract position based in Greenville, NC. The Project Manager will oversee a wide range of facilities, utilities, and infrastructure upgrade initiatives to support ongoing operational improvements.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
· Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of infrastructure and utilities projects, ensuring alignment with operational and safety requirements
· Coordinate work related to building systems such as roofing, boilers, chillers, parking areas, and other critical facility assets
· Manage permitting activities and collaborate with construction partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders
· Track project progress, budgets, timelines, and deliverables while proactively resolving issues
· Communicate project status clearly and consistently with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams
Qualifications for the Project Manager include:
· Demonstrated experience managing utilities, facilities, or construction-focused capital projects
· Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, and building systems (e.g., air dryers, chillers, boilers)
· Ability to work onsite in Greenville, NC or relocate for the assignment
· Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with diverse stakeholder groups
· Proven ability to drive projects aggressively to meet target deadlines
Compensation for the Project Manager:
Salary: $145,000-$165,000/year (USD)
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
