QC Microbiology Associate Scientist

Piper Companies is seeking a QC Associate Scientist in Microbiology to support quality control operations for an innovative cell therapy company located in Branchburg, NJ. The QC Associate Scientist will perform microbiological and analytical testing in a GMP-regulated environment to support product quality, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities for the QC Associate Scientist:

• Perform analytical and microbiological testing including PCR and ELISA assays in a GMP laboratory environment
• Conduct environmental monitoring in ISO-classified cleanrooms and support aseptic operations
• Document laboratory activities in compliance with cGMP documentation practices
• Support laboratory investigations related to environmental monitoring or product testing results
• Author and revise SOPs, protocols, and technical reports
• Assist with method transfers and collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams

Qualifications for the QC Associate Scientist:

• 1–3+ years of experience working in a GMP or regulated laboratory environment
• Hands-on experience with PCR, ELISA, or microbiological testing methods
• Experience performing environmental monitoring in ISO-classified cleanrooms
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures (Grade A–D environments preferred)
• Experience with LIMS systems (MODA or similar) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related scientific field (Associate’s degree with relevant experience may be considered)

Compensation for the QC Associate Scientist:

• $60,000-80,000
• Comprehensive benefits package
