Automation Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a leading organization in the technology industry focused on large‑scale digital transformation initiatives. The DevOps Engineer role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and modern infrastructure tooling such as Terraform, AWS, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated application delivery.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform for scalable and repeatable deployments.

• Manage and enhance cloud environments within AWS using industry best practices.

• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications in Kubernetes‑based platforms.

• Write automation scripts and tooling in Python to streamline operational workflows.

Qualifications of the DevOps Engineer:

• 4+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience with a focus on CI/CD and automation.

• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.

• Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services including EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPCs, and related tooling.

• Practical experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes clusters in production environments.

• Strong scripting skills using Python for automation and tooling creation.

Compensation for the DevOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $125,000 – $135,000 depending on experience
