Piper Companies is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Data Management Director to lead IT operations, cloud modernization, and data strategy efforts for an organization within the capital equipment industry. The IT Infrastructure & Data Management Director will oversee core technology teams, strengthen global infrastructure, and drive data-focused innovation.
Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure & Data Management Director:
• Lead IT Help Desk, Software Engineering, Data, Commercial Systems, Corporate Systems, IT Security, and Software Support teams.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security across global IT infrastructure.
• Drive Azure cloud strategy, modernization, and optimization.
• Guide data initiatives, analytics development, and data-driven business insights.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Finance to support growth through data.
• Lead efforts to transform proprietary data into revenue‑generating offerings.
• Implement best practices in cybersecurity, network management, and system administration.
• Manage system integration, enterprise applications, and data governance.
• Oversee IT budgets, project ROI, and vendor relationships.
• Work onsite as needed to collaborate with teams and interface with edge environments.
Requirements of the IT Infrastructure & Data Management Director:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 15+ years of IT infrastructure and data leadership, with 10+ years in senior roles.
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture and cloud modernization.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology teams.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, system administration, and global data governance.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution and communication skills.
• Background supporting capital equipment or industrial organizations is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with IoT/edge concepts helpful but not required.
Compensation for the IT Infrastructure & Data Management Director:
• $180,000 - $200,000 base salary
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
